Talking about art....in my studio

I spent Saturday morning with filmmaker Bruce Barlow.  

Although I find it hard to discuss my art with anyone, 

Bruce was so low key and patient, 

I felt quite comfortable;  I was able to talk.

As a child I was terrified of thunder storms.

 I am still frightened by their power of destruction

although I am fascinated by their beauty.

My studio was renovated during the Winter and Spring months.

It is now ready and I just began working again.

I have been spending everyday painting with bee's wax.

Also called encaustic, I find this ancient medium very exciting, 

although a bit capricious.  

One needs the perfect temperature when working with wax and paper.
