"Approaching Storm"

©2008 D.M. Le Bris

I wanted to use a different palette this time and have less fiery reds.
I was drawn to my childhood memories, as always.
I let my imagination direct me to create this painting.

Acrylic on archival gesso-board/set on wood

6" x 6"
15cm x 15cm

Danielle, You sure have changed your palette with this one...although the firey reds are creaping in there :) I really like this a lot, but I have to say I am quite attracted to the way you use those bold colors. I don't know if that is the interior designer or the child in me. Then again, maybe it is the middle age woman! At any rate, you do a wonderful job with these paintings where you draw on your childhood memories. Clearly, your childhood was a delight...at least you convey that here.

Thank you so much for sharing so freely with us.

Have a Beautiful Saturday Evening.
