"Pompeii"

This is the final step of the painting.
I decided to turn it upside down.
I like its story-telling quality better.
Some details still need to be worked on,
mostly in the red mountain shape, in the lower portion.
I find this area too transparent.
"Pompeii" seems a very appropriate title for this painting.
Please, watch the video I linked to about Pompeii.

When I looked at the painting step 3 I thought" Volcano":) and it has a surrealistic quality with the lava foating up to the sky, lovely,
Andrea

Thanks for showing the progress. I love the out of the box thinking by turning the piece over!
Danielle, this is absolutely wonderful. I love the way you turned it upside down to show the volcano. You are so right, the name is perfect.
Thank you also for showing the process of your work, it shows so much more about the painting. You have much to teach me.
Beautiful work, as always.
YOu're right. It's much better upside down. Sometimes you have to do that to see exactly what is there.
