"Viviane's Tears"

©2008 D.M. Le Bris

This is my second oil pastel on paper this week.
I love the atmosphere and richness of colors that oil pastel creates.
This is an imaginary landscape.
Brittany, were I spent my summer vacations as a school girl
was the inspiration.

Danielle, another beautiful painting which provokes feelings like memories of places, struggling to get to the surface of my mind so that I can place them somewhere...
Thanks for sharing it with us!

And thanks so much for your comment on my blog about Snoopy, we have found it on ebay! Don't bother with it, my hsuband will bid:) thanks again, for looking, and finding!
Have a wonderful day

Danielle, I knew you would have a treat in store here! This is stunning! I love the depth of the colors and the wonder of the scene! Almost haunting, but then, not really! I kind of want to jump right in!

Thanks for reminding me of oil pastels! I need to pull mine out again. Have you ever used the oil sticks? I really like those. They harden over time as they are oil paint in stick form. They are a little more moist than oil pastels, too.

This is really a beautiful, beautiful piece!

Thanks!

Another beautiful work Danielle!
Great use of the op's!
Love how it appears to have 'drips'.

Lovely. I too forget about oil pastels except for the craftwork paper i make from them. Am inspired by your abstract works and colors.
