"Twilight on the Lagoon"

In March 2000 I traveled to French Polynesia.
Bora Bora's lagoon is still on my mind.
I remember the magnificent skies at twilight.
They were like a "painting a day".
I tried to capture the skies' colors in this piece.

Acrylic on watercolor paper.
I used a brush and a palette knife to add more texture.

I wanted to be "extremely" loose while creating this painting. I used a limited palette in acrylic on watercolor paper. My tools were a brush and a palette knife. I like the way it turned out.

"Turmoil on the lagoon"

I wanted to create a lively image of a lagoon....fast racing clouds, agitated water. I used a lot of texture with mixed media on watercolor paper. Lately I have tried to be more spontaneous with my daily paintings.

"Watching the Sunset"

This painting is 4"x 5".
I used acrylic on watercolor paper with a limited palette.
I am attempting to create atmosphere in my present body of work.
This is one of the first pieces of the series which ended up as my Christmas card for 2007.
